Thank you kindly for your constant interest in Merzbau! Only today after a random visit here I realized that there have been more than 13000 visitors to this blog! Merzbau is over [at least for now] but this does not mean that I will bring it down. It will remain online for archival purposes.
There has been a return to the merzposting though. There is a new incarnation of this ongoing ‘effort’ that is called Llamarinth. This is a new journal of the weird and wonderful maintained by me and a very dear person to me, houdinismother. I am sure that Merzbau readers will find many things of interest there and they will not be disappointed.
I would be glad to see you and maybe hear from some of you over at Llamarinth!

aaaah the sudden urge to share again
lately mr dmtls became aware of a wonderful thing called bandcamp, a place to share music. there in the mud lies a great deal of gems [polished and of the other kind] waiting..
here is a song by the silver wizard project that caught my attention about 10′ ago and I felt I had to share.
I would go as far as to call it catchy and bloody hell this exaclty what it is. Dirty psych indie, post punkish with a flavour of folk instrumentation, female vocals and voila. Give it a spin and don’t be surprised if you do it again. The rest of the EP [?] is a more conventional psych folkish product not sure if it stands from the lot.

it’s about time I started posted something here.
well this is a great [?] chance as I joust found out that the Andreas Martin – Doppelpunkt Vor Ort 10″ that arrived yesterday in mail [eBay] was rather unsual.
Instead of the ‘standard’ version [505 copies handnumbered], which was what I actually ordered, what I got my hands on was a test pressing [1/3] pressed on white vinyl [instead of clear]!! Well that was a surprise [at least a record-nerd one]. As for the music itself I can say it is quite beautiful.
P.S. I do some serious thinking lately about purchasing a USB turntable any suggestions are welcome

the return
it’s been a while I’ve been itching for a return. after having the original >dmtls Merzbau deleted for a mysterious reason here I will try to collect and rearrange pieces from this project and other short lived ones and go on. I found inspiration for this new start in Shannon Larratt’s blog [+] and his steady presence online after years and years, a whole life through his writings.
